April is National Poetry Month!

To celebrate, the Friends of the Homer Library is hosting a poetry reading inspired by the Favorite Poem Project, where everyday Americans share a poem that has impacted their lives: https://www.favoritepoem.org/.

The Friends would like to invite you to read one of your favorite poems on Thursday, April 6 at 6 pm at the Homer Public Library. Our goal is to enlist 15 to 20 different readers, each sharing a poem by a different poet, to create an evening of dynamic diversity, showcasing a wide range of poetic expression. Slots will be available on a first come basis. Selected poems will be evaluated to ensure program flow and appropriate length.
