This class will cover techniques needed to build ambitious forms in clay successfully. Participants will start with a loose theme: making a sculpture or functional ceramic inspired by a plant, animal, or human form. In- class demonstrations will cover slab building, coil building, slump molds, manipulation, drying, carving,  and other techniques. The instructor will be available to help you choose the best techniques for constructing your project based on your sketches.

The focus is on sculpture but functional work is also welcomed.
