Berry picking season is upon us!

To celebrate the abundance of Alaska’s berry season, join Homer artist Xochiyollotl for a ceramics handbuilding workshop to create your own berry bowl!

Using the slab building method, participants will learn how to use slump molds to create a ceramic colander perfect for rinsing your bounty of wild or garden grown berries before enjoying them with abandon!

August 17th from 5:30 – 8:30 PM 

Downstairs in the HCOA Studio

All supplies included. Open to ages 16 and up.

Enjoy two seasonal mocktails and small bites at our second Mud and Mocktails event. Mud and Mocktails is a fun way to explore with handbuilding by yourself or as night out with friends. Good drinks, fun crafts, and good company. What could be better!

About the Instructor:

Xochiyollotl is a ceramic artist born and raised on the Kenai Peninsula. They took their first ceramics class in their last year of high school and have been pursuing art as both a passion and career ever since. They received an MFA in Ceramics from UAF and were awarded the Rasumson Individual Project Grant in 2023 to build a studio on Dimond Ridge.
