Ken Waldman and the Wild Ones: Music, Poetry, Storytelling and Surprises to celebrate his new novel, Now Entering Alaska Time
7pm at Pier One Theatre
This engagement is part of a spring tour for Waldman that includes dates in Skagway, Haines, Juneau, Talkeetna, Fairbanks, Anchorage, and Denali Park. The novel is set in Fairbanks, Juneau, and Nome in the late 1980’s into the 1990’s, and follows several years of a man in Fairbanks, several hours of a woman in Juneau, and their first winter together in Nome. https://kenwaldman.com/now-entering-alaska-time
Waldman will be joined by Homer area musicians, weaving music with original Alaska poems and excerpts from the new novel.
Writes Ken Waldman: “I always strive for events that are fun, inspirational, surprising. It’s been years since I’ve done an event in Homer. This will be an opportunity to share music and stories I wouldn’t do elsewhere but which I’m confident will resonate in the community. Surprises? Yes, and special guests!”
This program is made possible with support from Ocean Shores Resort.
