Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30-6pm
In this 6 week course, students will explore making functional and decorative ceramics using coil, pinch, and slab hand building methods, and be given an introduction to wheel-throwing. They’ll learn about the stages that clay goes through – from wet, to leather-hard, to bone-dry and about the hand-tools used for trimming, shaping and creating texture on pots. After pieces are bisque fired students will have a variety of glazes to decorate their creations. All glazes are food safe. Class fee includes clay, glaze, tools, and all firings.

Class Schedule:
Week one: August 29th and 31st
Week two: September 5th and 7th
Week three: September 12th and 14th
Week four: September 19th and 21st
Week Five: NO CLASS SEPTEMBER 26th OR 28th (Bisque Week)
Week Six: October 3rd and 5th (Glazing Week)
