Fun With 5X7

Call For Art!

It’s time again for HCOA’s  annual 5X7 show. This small works show is about challenging artists to think inside the box. There are no prompts or subjects, all mediums included, open to all ages and abilities. This show is about experimenting, trying something new, and comradery among the South Peninsula arts community.

Participation Guidelines:

• All work must be 5 x 7. 3-D artworks are allowed but must stay true to the intention of 5×7″. Small/thin frames are acceptable but must not add significantly to the size; i.e., no 8×10″ frames matted to 5×7″.
• All entries must be for sale. HCOA takes a 40% commission on sold works (35% for HCOA members).
• Maximum 3 pieces per artist.
• Completed submission form required.
• Works should have been created within the last 2 years and not previously shown at HCOA.
• Artworks must be ready for gallery display. Stretched canvases do not need wire. Framed artworks and items on canvas board, panel, wood, etc must have wire or hooks on the back for hanging.
• We reserve the right to reject entries that do not meet gallery standards or adhere to the guidelines.

  Important Dates:

  Submission Deadline Extended! Submit your work online using the submissions form below by Saturday, October 28th

  Drop off your work, ready to hang, to the HCOA office between October 16th and October 28th

  Join us on November 3rd for the First Friday opening reception from 5-7 pm

Swing by Homer Art and Frame at 4001 Lake St #3 in Homer to pick up canvases and supplies. They have 5×7 stretched canvases available for $7.79 and 5×7 panels for only $1.99 each.
