I try to capture the spirit and essence of nature with the powerful strokes of the Chinese mou-bi paintbrush; and then I play. I love collaging brushwork and decorative paper into simple compositions honoring the void.

After a couple of decades, 2016 was the last season for me as a restaurateur, pastry chef, and sommelier, since then I have been teaching and delving into my art in Homer with my family.

Works displayed here are made with acrylic, watercolor, Chinese ink, decorative and rice paper on canvas unless noted otherwise.
