Who is Alaska Blaskapelle?

Alaska Blaskapelle is a polka band based in Anchorage Alaska who play traditional German music in the Bavarian style. Aside from being wildly popular during the Oktoberfest season, they also play on the Alaska Rail Road and Nordic Ski Club’s “Ski Train” in February or March. With 12 to 15 players at a time, and as many as 25 musicians on-call, the Alaska Blaskapelle can actually be in two places at once, livening up any party or event with music that is sure to bring you to your feet.

The 2023 Oktoberfest celebration is made possible with the generous support of Homer Brewing Company, Grace, Ridge Brewing, Kenai River Brewing Company, and McNeil Canyon Meats.
